Amazing!

Guys!
i went through my posts recently, and found out I was sulking too much. Maybe that has been one factor which has been instrumental in you people not showing much interest in my blog. (I know you would really like to tell me to "get back to your senses and stop worrying about all this!")

Anyways, so today I'll narrate something that I experienced about 20 minutes back.
Hmm....don't you think it's really fresh ???
Yeah it is!

Well, I had my dinner at my usual restaurant and was walking back home. Then I thought I should drop in the grocer's and buy some milk, which you can see in the photo up there.

When i reached the shop, the shop-keeper was selling the last of the milk-bags to an uncle. So i was like..."Shucks! That was the last one!"

To my surprise, the Uncle said, "Do you want half litre?"
I was really happy, "Well, if you don't mind...."
"I'll have one and half litre instead of two. Give him half litre."

I was overjoyed!!! I thanked the person a hundred times and bought the milk......And thought, would it be the same in Japan, or for that matter in any other developed country? There would probably be a "sold out" display put on the shelf, and nobody would bother to share things with me (Of course, with some exceptions). I was really happy that people of my country are so very kind, in spite of all the various worries that nag them in their life.

It has been a great experience, that too at impeccable timing, just when I was thinking about my next post on the blog.

Blogging is fun!

Questions!!!

Questions is what I ask myself,
and try to seek the answers....
some lead to the light of knowledge,
some to the gloomy dungeon of pessimism.
I hope there dawns a day
when my country would awake
there will be new questions, of course,
but things would look different with the Dawn,
as shining bright eyes would assure me
of their power to answer those questions.

I got up today, and switched on the light....
nothing happened.....

Ahh! It was the power cut. As the cold increases in Delhi and temperatures go below the freezing 5, 6 degrees, there also starts the season of powercuts. Maybe this was just one of the many.
Cursing the government for poor power supply, i carried out my daily chores and went out to see the sun.

I saw the familiar sight that you can see above. Yes......population!

The board on the All India Institute of Medical Sciences reminds me every other day of the vast "human resource" (sophisticated way of calling "human liabilities") that our country holds. 103,00,00,000 (1,030,000,000) people live in my India. And this is just a small bit which is waiting for bodyshoppers to give them their share of opportunities for the day.

Lots of questions swarm in my mind. I try to pacify myself and clear away the nagging doubts that crowd in. "This is a resource, and not a liability. I am sure our vast population will be instrumental in catapulting India to the top." I tell myself.

The skeptic in me raises his head. "They can serve as a resource only when we train them. This is just a mass of unskilled labour!".

"But the government is doing its duty and educating people, providing equal opportunities." There is a part in me which hates to surrender, fighting till the last breath.

"Look at the quality, the loopholes, the inconsistencies......do i need to explain everything to you?" The skeptic seems to suck my own will power and grow stronger on it.

Questions.....is what i face.....

He poses them relentlessly.....

My mind tries to seek answers to them.......

When I feel really low, I just tell myself......."I can't give up! #$#& $%&!"

It's tough to survive with a head that thinks!

Happy New Year.....I mean, I am back

Hey folks,
by now you must have got used to my ways.....I mean there are spurts of pensive moods (i'm sure you've accepted my personality) and there are long (gloomy, depressive) spells of inactivity (only on the blog, not in day-to-day life, i won't get my salary then!) and then all of a sudden i come back and say, "I am back!".

Well, this year starts on a similar note. With lots of activity happening (both on professional as well as personal front.....you are free to interprete the way you would like to).....

First, let me tell you something interesting. The small lane where i live in Gautam Nagar, has started witnessing some signs of change. Yes....."Delhi Metro" boards have come up all of a sudden from nowhere. What does this mean? A hike in the room rent? (this is what my "middle class" mind thinks in the first instance) Maybe a bit of discipline to the chaos that prevails in this part of the City/Delhi/World ? Lots of questions and an equal amount of answers haunt my mind. I am sorry and sure that I won't sulk alone ;-) It is better to share your woes :-)

Planning to stop reading further? Well, don't be afraid, it's just a gimmick!

In fact, I would say that I can really promise an interesting blog from now on.

The reason? Well you can see pics on my blog :-)

Yes! Finally I have made up my mind to shrug of some of the laziness that has been surrounding me and holding me back from taking some snaps around!

So be prepared, there would be something interesting to come, something that you may really not expect.....

Do look forward to my next entry. Till then, i leave the blog with a pic of New Delhi in the morning! It's rush hour folks!!!

Have a great year!
