Exam, work and more.....
Dear friends,
i was not able to update the blog yesterday because the internet connection was down. i always get upset when such a thing happens to me. i don't know whether i am right, but i think this is the worst thing that has happened to our country.
let me explain. It's really simple. i pay whatever bill i get to MTNL for its "Broadband you can trust". and what do i get in return ? For more than 10 days a month, the connection has some problem or the other. Now if i complain to them, they are least interested in restoring it quickly. Is it because their salaries are fixed no matter what happens with the revenues of MTNL ? Is it because a "Government Job" is all about ZERO PRODUCTIVITY ? Or is it because we Indians have a notion in our mind that providing a service worth the money taken is something that is done only for services above Rs. 10000 ? i just can't figure out how this lethargy has crept in this country that boasts of KARMAYOGA, and what not.
Anyways, since my frustration about MTNL is out, i'll now let you know about my interpretation exam today. The sole thing i can tell you is that i was not able to perform as per my own standards, leave aside the teacher's expectations. And an ANT was responsible for this ! Can you imagine ???
Actually, i did the first sentence pretty well, but when he started the second sentence, the ant started biting my leg and there i was stranded ! Couldn't concentrate at all after that and that was the end of it. Beware of ants when you are interpreting, is the lesson i learnt ;-)
And then i went to work. It was interesting as i had already done some interpretation with them in May. And so was able to quickly let them know what the correspondence from Japan was saying. Thus, one part was over and i was free to go ahead to another place.
Here we discussed the various possibilities Indian BPO Industry has with relation to the Japanese Market. Nothing special except for the fact that i got another assignment and a little more work to do. Hope i am able to keep up with my deadlines.
That's all for today. As you all can see, it is a tired man's sentence. Please forgive for not being informative.......Oh yes !!! I have a piece of information !!!
The Indian Economy, as per 2000 statistics of World Bank, is the Fourth Largest Economy of the world. Those who are ahead of India are US, China and Japan. Tell me, did you all know this ? Or did you ever think this would be true ?
Heh heh. Keep reading to get more informative tidbits.
Till then,
Ciao!
